“E-Discovery” is altering the litigation landscape and each attorney is responsible for understanding the rules governing the treatment of Electronically Stored Information (ESI). From start to finish, an attorney must know about preservation of ESI, how to use search terms the importance of mutual cooperation, when cost shifting can occur during discovery, how to protect the attorney-client privilege, work product, and now even sanctions are all issues that dominate the new world of electronic discovery.

Ongoing developments and just remaining current on e-discovery are increasingly important for all litigants’ counsel, whether prosecuting or defending cases involving e-discovery. For those who dedicate their practice to litigation and trials, there is much to review and discuss in this burgeoning area.

This program, which is geared to practitioners in small to mid-sized firms, will cover the latest developments in e-discovery, as well as procedural advice. This timely conference will include a discussion of the development of recent major rules updates and decisions, as well as a look at current practice. Derek G. Howard of the Howard Law Firm in Mill Valley, California chairs this program, joined by Gil Messina of the Messina Law Firm in Holmdel, New Jersey.
