"Taking Your Case to Trial: Strategies and Demonstrations to Help You Win"
Friday, February 22, 2019
Scott Conference Center, 6450 Pine St., Omaha

Plan to attend NATA's seminar "Taking Your Case to Trial: Strategies and Demonstrations to Help You Win, Friday, February 22, 2019 at the Scott Conference Center, Omaha.  Program Chair Jennifer Meyer has planned a  seminar focusing on jury trial skills with a demonstrative component with the hope that every attendee would be able “see” something new that could then be used in their next jury trial.  The faculty includes seasoned trial attorneys Mark Richardson, Bob Pahlke, Jason Ausman and Kathleen Neary,  who will be demonstrating and teaching strategies they have successfully employed in recent jury trials. Jim Paloucek, another talented trial attorney, will provide an update on the new summary judgment procedure in state court cases. The faculty will include two professors who will be presenting on their academic areas of expertise.  Dr. Richard Wiener, Charles Bessey Professor of Psychology and Law at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, will talk about his study of juror bias and three recent jury decision-making studies he has published.   D. Scott Glasser, Professor and Artistic Director, College of Communications, Fine Arts & Media at the University of Nebraska, Omaha will teach acting and theater skills that can be used to tell your client’s story in the courtroom. The seminar also includes an ethics presentation by Nebraska Counsel for Discipline, Mark Weber, on attorney misconduct in the courtroom.
The seminar has been approved by both the Nebraska and Iowa Supreme Court MCLE Commissions for 6.25 hours of credit including 1 hour of ethics that will apply to the mandatory CLE requirements. Register Online or Download a Brochure.
