We are pleased to announce an exciting new benefit for members.NATA has signed an affinity relationship agreement with SBA Loan Group, LLC, which helps law firms apply for and negotiate Small Business Administration loans.Law firms are eligible for SBA backed loans, which have interest rates that generally are lower than commercial banks or legal lenders and can be used without restrictions.
- SBA loans for working capital can be used for things like hiring new staff, advertising and marketing or modernizing equipment.
- SBA Loan Group works with law firms to qualify, gather necessary data, do a full financial analysis, place bank applications and assist in closing the transaction for SBA backed loans. SBA Loan Group works with a network of 50 banks to secure funding.
- SBA loans for working capital are typically for 10 years and have an annual interest rate between 5 percent and 6 percent. SBA loans to purchase real estate are for 25 years.
- SBA loans for general business purposes can be up to $5 million. Loans for purchasing real estate can be up to $14 million. Unlike bank loans or lines of credit, SBA loans cannot be canceled, as long as monthly payments are made.
Under an agreement approved by the NATA Board of Directors and SBA Loan Group, the company will pay a royalty to NATA based on a set percentage of the value of a loan. It’s a great benefit to help members, and benefit NATA.
